Changes for the 2013/14 Season

  • The Brown Horse Neston have changed both name and venue - They will now be known as The Brewer’s Arms Neston, playing in the pub of the same name in Park Street, Neston.
  • Extras have returned to their old venue of New Brighton Cricket Club in Rake Lane, Wallasey.
  • Gladly Stoned will now be playing their home matches on Tuesday evenings.
  • Our Ladys' A and B teams have amalgamated and will be playing as Our Lady's Parish Centre.
  • The Queens have decided to resign from the league.
  • ND Squared have changed their name and will now be appearing as 2D or N2D.

As no new teams have joined the league despite several enquiries, it has been decided that each division should contain 14 teams for next season.  Bebington Hockey and Barbarians have been promoted to Division 1, with Roundheads and Hoylake LTC dropping to Division 2.

And the winners are ...

At the end of the season, congratulations go out to Gladly Stoned, who pipped Oxton Conservatives to the First Division title, and to Bebington Hockey who held off a late challenge from Barbarians to win the Second Division Title.

Roundheads and Hoylake LTC have been relegated to Division 2.

MIMIR 2013

After some fine quizzing on Wednesday 20th March 2013 at The Sands Hotel, Ainsdale, the places for the MIMIR final have been decided.

The four players, who will contest the final on May 15 at St Francis de Salles Parochial Club in Walton, are Pat Gibson (Ormskirk), Darren Martin (Ormskirk), Ray Oakes (Ormskirk) and DAG Griffiths (Southport & Formby)

An Apology

I realised quite recently that the I had made some errors in the results for the teams in the First Division.  These were caused by a combination of my short-sightedness and fat fingers!  The errors meant that my version of the league table did not quite correspond to that provided by the results secretary.Luckily, the teams involved at the top and bottom of the table were not overly affected by the errors.

The mistakes have now been rectified, both on the results pages and on the individual team pages.
