Plasterers Arms are saddened to report the death of long standing player Joyce Maycox. Joyce had played for the Plasterers for many years, and at the age of 90 was possibly the oldest player in Wirral Quiz League. Joyce was an excellent quizzer, especially on all things literature and any world capitals. In her later years she preferred to only play the friendlies, but always amazed us with some of the answers she could pull.
Joyce played alongside Morgan in a few games and we suspect the 67 year age gap between the two teammates is surely an MQL record, which is unlikely to ever be broken.
Joyce will be much missed by all at the Plasterers and our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.
